IN MEMORIAM March 17, 1909 — February 3, 1972 Mr. T. T. Hammack retired in January, 1972 after serving twenty-six years in the Bristol Virginia School System. He came to Bristol as principal of Bristol Virginia High School and retired as General Supervisor. His years of service endeared him to the thousands of stu- dents and teachers who worked with him. His example of Christian leadership was felt by all who knew him. A Christian gentlemen, husband, father, educator, and friend has retired from active service. His fine influence will be felt for years to come. 19

PRINCIPAL A.T. OUTLAW After two years as Assistant Principal, Mr. A. T. Outlaw, Jr. has assumed the duties of Princi- pal at Virginia High School. He received his B.A. Degree from King Col- lege and his Masters from East Tennessee State University. Serving as Assistant Principal of Virginia Ju- nior High and Principal of Thomas Jefferson Elementary are other ranking positions held by Mr. Outlaw. He has also received the Bristol Jaycee ' s “Outstanding Educator” award. 20
