Henry has played three years of Varsity foot- ball and baseball, and he is a member of the V-Club. His athletic talents, however, would have a hard time out- shining his scholastic abilities. He has been among the top in his class and has always contributed actively to class dis- cussion. Aside from functioning as a counselor, he has found time to be a member of the Veslige and Meteor staffs, and a faithful member of the drama society. ,wa .gr , Y' 1. V V i'P'W,,ff FRANK EUBANK BOOKER 111 The Reverend, also known as the Halifax Gentle- man, has been one of the most outstanding members of the Academy for the past three years. After arriving on campus in 1962, Frank became an immediate hero to his classmates. His charming personality and quick wit made him a boy ad- mired by all. In addition to being a leader among his cohorts, Eubank has been invaluable on the Varsity football and track squads. He received his Varsity letter in both sports for three years and was selected as a member of the Varsity Club, for a sophomore, this was indeed an honor. In addition to being a leader on the athletic field, Frank has also shown leadership in the areas of religion and dis- cipline. He has served on the Vestry, and he was also a mem- ber of the counselor body. It might seem that his list of ac- complishments would terminate here, but they do not. The Reverend has been a lay reader Ca contributor to the Meteor and the Vestige, secretary of the Varsity Club, a class officer, cheerleader, and a star of the touch football contingent. In order to develop a more well-rounded personality, Frank found it necessary to extend himself to the opposite sex. Hardly a weekend has passed since his arrival that he has not been seen giving some 'Lynchburg lovely' a break. After graduation, Frank plans to attend the University of Virginia, Tulane University, the University of Georgia, or the Peace Corps. I? Carper Cool brought with him from the mountains oi West Virginia a characteristic which has since been tagged as coolness, but it is actually his willingness to go out of his way to be friendly to everyone. Bill's easy-going nature and quick humor have won him many friends at VES. He has extended his willingness to be friendly to the opposite sex, and they have responded. Had he not already been branded with one nickname, he might easily have been called the Don Juan of VES. Bill's smooth social ability and his willingness to work led to his appointment as Dance Committee chairman last year. He has been a counselor for two years, and he was secretary-treasurer of the senior class. He has played on the Meteor and Vextige staffs. and he played a role in the Art and Drama Society's production of Billy Budd. He was so upset, however, that there was no part for a lover in Billy Budd that he hardly said a thing throughout the whole production. Bill has proven his ability in athletics by earning two varsity letters in basketball. This year he was elected co- captain of the Bishopis-fiveg he also served as treasurer of the Monogram Club. Now that Bill knows everyone at VES, he hopes to widen his scope next year by attending The University of North Carolina. WILLIAM GRADY CARPER, JR PRINCETON, W. VA.
