RPI students seldom make the headlines for campus-capers, for which we applaud. We hold the unique distinction of being perhaps the least endowed college in the United States. In fact, from 1925 to 1940, RPI had the unen iable dis- tinction of being one of the few state supported colleges in the United States which operated entirely without state support. However, our la- bor pains, like the mountain that bore the mouse are being slowly acknowledged. An in- dividual student gently petitioned Governor Har- rison with a plea for funds. 800 students signed the petition.
