DRAMATIC ARTS Mr. Raymond Hodges, head of the Depart- ment of Dramatic Arts, gives his expert attention to two of his advanced drama stu- dents during rehearsal of major production. Students are also required to fully cast and direct a play during their college career. Above, Elizabeth Birbari, specialist in cos- tume design, carefully checks some of the work of her students. Thirty-nine costumes were required for a single Shakespearean production this year, and this work was com- pleted by drama students. The RPI drama students are among the best educated for their chosen field as found in any college in the country. Mr. Thomas hlol- loway Is shown instructing June hHarding and Don Norrls in a set design class. The proper manipulation of a radio control panel is not an easy skill to acquire.
