School of Distribution The School of Distribution has as its ob- jectives the preparation of men and women for careers in the broad field of distribution, which includes retailing, advertising, wholesaling, and teaching distributive education. It is the oldest school of its kind in the South and is in many ways unique. School of Journalism, Writing and Publication The Departments of English and Jour- nalism make up the School of Journa- lism, Writing and Publication. The English Department provides the professional student with a practical application ofgrammarand literature, and gives him a better understanding of the individual in his society. The Journalism Department gives specialized training to equip students for work on newspapers, magazines, trade publications, and in publicity, public relations, radio and newspaper advertising, and in teaching on the secondary level.
