LJZA14' 3'.- ng.- l4O Playing its first season in the Eastern Dis- trict, the Seahawk varsity baseball team man- aged to register two wins against their rugged Competition. The reliable pitching arm of Max Wylie, one of the best this school has seen, and the timely hitting of Jimmy Cross, helped the Seahawks to win over Bayside and Granby. Heavily outmanned by such schools as Maury, Norview, and Granby, the Virginia Beach High School baseball team never gave up any of its spirit or pride. Losing five starters by gradu- ation, this year's team will be built around returnees John Ortt, Rip McGinnis, John Wolfe, Vinny Loscialo, Gary McFarland, Wins- low Stillman, Larry Whitehurst, Bobby Gregory, and Wayne Robertson.
