Mark Whit:-, HI-Y AND TRI-HI-Y CLUBS The Hi-Y and Tri-Hi-Y movement - world wide in its scope - has just been begun in the high school this year. lt is a YMCA program, geared to the needs of the high school students, in which each member pledges to create, maintain and extend throughout the home, school and community high standards of Christian character. lts plat- from is clean speech, clean sportsmanship, clean scholarship, and clean living. There are two Tri-Hi-Y Chapters fgirlsl, and a Hi--Y Chapter Cboysl. The Deftera Chapter of the Tri-Hi-Y, sponsored by Mrs. Cook, has as its officers, President - Sandra Hood, Vice Presi- dent - Susan Griggs, Secretary - Betty Ann Harrell, Treasurer - Frances McLean, Chap- lain - Ruth Thompson.
