DRAMATIC CLUB Chloe Christie Meredith Jones . Suzanne Jones Miss Mary Sudduth The purpose of the Dramatics Club is to give students an apportunity to participate in dramatic activities and express themselves. All phases of work in relation to drama are offered. Eenter the Hero, a one-act comedy by Theresa Helburn, was selected for the District Play Festival which was held in the Virginia Beach High School auditorium in March. The characters were: Ruth Carey, played by President . Vice-President Secretary Sponsor Brenda Lovitt, Anne Carey, by Terry McKee, Mrs. Carey, by Faye Salmon, and Harold Lawson, played by Jim Hague. The purpose of the Play Festival is to moti- vate the development of a broad school dra- matic program. In 1954 our club earned a Distinguished rating in the District Festival and was invited to participate in the State Festival held at the University of Virginia.
