Dennis Walker Miss Edwards ff.. The Library Club of Virginia Beach High School is composed of twenty-seven students who are interested in taking care of the library and learning its functions. The aims of the club are to promote good reading habits, to introduce good books to the student body, and to help the students find reading and reference material. Acting as assistant librarians, the club mem- bers work at the circulation desk. They also perform other duties such as reading shelves, checking on overdue books, and making bul- letin board displays. President Vice-President Secretary Reporter Sponsor Since audio-visual aids are a part of the library, one project of the club is to become familiar with the film and slide projectors, the tape recorder, the record player, and other equipment. Thus the members can be of fur- ther service by operating these machines for the various classes in school. The library is the center for research and the assistants are trained in finding material. This ability is an asset in their own work, and they are also able to guide other students in locating material available in the library.
