STUDENT COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION Myinie Woodward I ,ena Hutsenpiller Anita C iuser Virginia Humphries The Student Cooperative Association presi- dent and officers have worked long and hard to accomplish some of their objectives. They are: starting an Honor Club. promoting better teacher-student relations. promoting good sportsmanship for both players and spectators. sponsoring the Beach Bowl Game and Parade. being in charge of assembly programs and having a clean up program for the school. Mr. .lohnson and the Faculty have given much support in starting our school's Honor Club which has been very successful this year. The school S. C. A. is active not only in the President Vice-President Secreta ry 'Iireasurer , school. but attends Tri-C and District meet- ings. Every year three representatives and the sponsor attend the State S.C.A. Convention. The convention. this year. at Harrisonburg, Virginia. will be on March l7th and llith. We hope that we have benefited our school in some way and we feel that we have tried to accomplish all of our objectives. It is the belief of our sponsor that we need to remember one thing for the present and the future. I Would Be True to all I attempt to do and to try to accomplish in life.

THE HURRICANE STAFF The annual staff working hard from October 'till March. was able to complete the layout and send it to press by Mareh 15. The salesmen directed by our able business man- ager have been working constantly. Their accomplish- ments meant the publication of our Annual. Our gratitude to them can not be expressed in words. but will be derived from having an annual in which they played an essential part. Only those of the staff ean realize the hours and hours of work put into this book. Without our spon- sor. Miss Martha Wilson, we could never have under- taken or completed it. We wish to express our sincere appreciation to her and say. Thanks for everything. Now. finally it is finished! We hope you, of the student body and faculty will enjoy the annual as much as .we have enjoyed compiling it. lt's sueeess depends upon your gratification.
