CLASS PROPHECY OF I955 June l4, 1965: Dear Diary, At long last I arrived in New York City. Many of my friends have become so famous l thought maybe I'd be able to see some of them. Here comes Jane Sullivan. She is the Num- ber l play-girl of the nation. She sure is spend- ing a lot of money-I guess she's still borrow- ing it as usual. Jane tells me she is on her way to a Broadway show. I think I'll go too. Just guess who the stars were - our old pals, Jane Kellam and Ted Wool. I've never laughed as hard in my life but then, they always were a couple of real gone characters. Looking at a billboard I see there is to be a basketball game in the fabulous new Ath- letic Club designed by Bill Meachum. Bill and Maxine are married now but they live in Arabia operating a branch of Mrs. Moore's Bakery. Here comes the favorite team. Listen to that crowd! Why, they're yelling for Don Moss. He certainly has made a name for him- self, averaging 150 points a game. Though Don is well on his way to immortality, his wife the former Myrnie Woodward, has al- ready made herself a name. Myrnie is playing with the New York Yankees and hit 72 home runs last year. After the game Don told me that Charles Killer Hooper, is ready for a match with Champion Heavyweight Wrestler, Micky Mc- Cully. Poor Micky, I'd hate to see him after the match. I think I'll take in a T-V show. Maybe Jim Hague's Martini at Midnight will be good. It has been a long time since I've seen Jim and before the show he told me of some of his guest stars. Tonight for the first time on a coast-to-coast network, the world renowned act of Duncan's Donkeys is to perform. Noel always did like animals. There were many other acts but my favorites were the African Jungle Boys. They played the best jazz, with Horst Flora on the sax, Kermit Scarborough on drums. and Kayo Barco at the piano. But Fred Barth and Cis Maulsby doing typical jungle dances really gave it a new twist. As I left the show I saw three familiar faces begging money for Canaries with Laryngitis. Kathrine Blake, Jo Shellman, and Sue Sergent were making quite a kill. Speaking of money,Jack Maclver, Herve Ouellette, and Emanuel Katsias are doing very well for themselves. They are top authorities on men's wear and are always in style. The proper dress of the day appears to be black pants and shirts, pink sweaters and socks, and those charming razor backs. So, those three cats are sure to be the best dressed in the world. Zooooooooom! There he goes again. It's that crazy jet pilot, Bill Hall, seeing how close he can come to the lovely ballerina, Rose Marie Price. Rosie is the Toast of France and her lover, Bill, flies her back and forth from her performances. There are really more strange things in this city! Just look at that crowd! They're having a Bubble Blower Contest . . . Well, it just happened! Nancy Cathey just lost the title of Best Blower of the Year to Ruth Beebe. Good ole' Ruth always was full of hot air! Oh, here are the results of some more con- tests. Nick Nelms has just won the title of Mr. Universe. Man, he moves me the most. And here are the Miss America contest re- sults. Well, well, Anita Myers is the new queen of beauty. I donit suppose the fact that George Sanderlin was the judge had anything to do with her victory, do you? What on earth is this? A parade? Oh, yes, World Foreign Relations Ambassador, Jobil Lassiter, has just returned from Japan, where she has done a great job of negotiating peace. They're really giving her a lot of attention. The top press photographer, Daniel Proulx, hasn't given her a minute to herself, and even the Naval Academy is here under the command of Admiral Jerry Shields. Guess I'll have a talk with Dum Dum, she always knows what everyone is doing, maybe she is still in touch with some of the crew. She tells me that in her travels she often sees Paul Holland, who now delivers every
