'qw 'Milli X 'Q Eighth Grade Histor HF PIGHTH GRADI IS few ln number but mlghtx ln tehlexement VVe hate gwen three assemblles whlch lneluded four plays We dtdnt want to glve the fxrst one but we had to 1f we wanted to hate a party It nexer rams but lt pours we followed up w1th two more and haxe glyen more than any other class ln school The last one w is good enough to gne to the Mesqulte Logandale and Oxerton schools We won the dollars worth of candy glven for the best ortglnal song stunt and yell at the football rally It wasnt our fault that we had stomach ache afterwards Our class won all three prmes 1n the Bulldog Bxrkers Christmas poem contest Nxta Rae Reber won flrst Marxon Leautt second and Hazel Waite thlrd When the 'Vlarch of Dlmes paraded past our school the elghth grade dug down deep and shelled out with the greatest amount and greatest percentage contubuted by any class ln school We celebrated our success wlth two part tes The flrst we had ln the gym and the second down at Warm Sprmgs together w1th the sexenth grade After thls thrlllxng wrlte up we may haxe to buy new and larger hats Some tragedles haxe cut down our percentage of achlexement however Vesta Granger has had to qult Physlcal Educatlon class She was gettmg too sklnny Luexlle IS so heavy she has to take two classes of lt a day Irene thmks she s just rlght so she shows up for class Just half the tlme We hope the Elghth Grade next year wlll be able to follow ln our flngerprmts Seventh Grade H :story E STARTED SCHOOL September 3 looklng forward to worklng nard but after a few days we all changed our mmds as you can plamly see We had a lot of fun the fxrst day We wonder why It could be we dxdnt have any work to do We were all a lxttle frlghtened when Mr Dennett our home room teacher told us we really had to work hard to get good grades We surely learned a lot ln MISS Taylors class the flrst ln the morning She taught us not to shoot buds or eat oranges as many of the boys have learned by experlence In Mr Dennetts class we learned to keep our room neat and not to eat Theres another one who wants us to starve And then 1f any one wants or needs any eorreet1on m Englxsh come to us Seventh Graders We learned a lot from Mrs Hunt Anyway we should have done Next comes Mr Lamoreauxs Glee class We found out that hls theme song., was Amerlca We wonder what makes everyone thmk so Then comes MISS Smlths Art class No one should ever eat anythmg m her class because she gxves lt to us She thmks we look hungry We dont mmd xt though would you Then ln Band Mr Lamoreaux taught exeryone how to play lme 36 We thmk we all know xt by now T en ln P P lwe hue Mrs Cox lor that P we hut flllllt 1 time qutrrellxng, wlth the ot er side Mrs Cox has qulte a time too lwlth us we me ml We have had two assemblles so far and our boys twe mean Seventh and Elghth l who were not on the black lxst played basketball wxth Log indale and Las Vegas They got beat both tlmes Funny team huh?
