SOPHOMORE CLASS HISTORY We are considered to be rather dumb iso Miss Kitty says, and she should know, because she teaches us World Historyb and deaf faccording to Mr. Browning, who teaches us Biology. The way he tells it, We never hear a thingy. We don't mean to be talking about ourselves, but Mr. Brashear, our Home Room and mathematics teacher, thinks we're just plain little cheats! None of this is true, for we are really wonderful kids! Where else would you find so many beautiful boys, and so many radiant and charming girls as in the sophomore class? We really can't understand why Miss Edna insists on keep- ing us in every other day, unless it's just to be with us. Of course we do talk a little, and do a few other little things, but don't 1et's go into that, now. Anway, we're supposed to be telling our History, so here's a little bit about that. A bunch of us started together in the first grade here at Viper. When we reached the eighth grade, there were 18 of us, and we all graduated. The following year, when we met as freshmen, there were sixty-eight of us! What a brilliant class! All our teach- ers said that we were far above the average freshmen class- es. fThat'must have gone to our heads, for we're still trying to live on our freshman reputationj. One of our outstanding performances last year was 'The Gypsy Troubadourf' Just to prove We are still capable performers, we're giving it over this year-with a Marko from the junior class, and a new Jean from the freshman class. Most of the old characters are back, however, and most of them are sophomores. So here We are at the end of our sophomer year. It has been a good year, even though the faculty thinks we've never done anything important! Well, maybe we haven't- so very important, but somehow We don't seem to mind it at all. We thank all our teachers for putting up with us, and We hope to be writing as juniors next year. But we'll envy the sophemores, or should we pity them Anyway, we sign off for the last time as THE SILLY SOPHOMORESR'
