FOREWORD The 1963 Souvenir Staff has chosen YOU, the students of V.H.S., as the medium through which to review the events of this memorable year. From the time you are a Freshman meeting new challenges to that day you are a Senior realizing your high school days are a blur in the past, the attention of the school and com- munity is focused on you. What is seen as you step into this spotlight of attention and concern? YOU—trying to look as though you were born with a slide rule in your hand, learning to type by touch and not by glance, rushing through crowded halls to equally divided classes, preparing footnotes for a research paper, and inhaling your food at lunchtime. With the passing of time and the ever-increasing tempo of our daily living, memories of V.H.S. may fade, leaving only scattered recollections of high school life.
