THE SENIORS OF VINTON HIGH SCHOOL HIGH SCHOOL CHRISTMAS TRACK IN MEMORIAM The Souvenir Staff has worked extra hard to make this annual as near per- fect as possible to be worthy of the memory of one of the most outstanding students ever to graduate from Vinton High School. As a student, he claimed a place on the honor roll through his diligent work in his studies. Therefore, we present this book in memory of Richard Doc Landry. . F. A. LITERARY MU SIGMA F.H.A. F.T.A. The highlight of the Football season to the students and the alum- ni of Vinton High is the annual Homecoming Day. From the colorful parade, the ball game, to the final note of the last dance after the game that night, old friendships were renewed and old friends were meeting. On November 7, 1952, the citizens of Vinton entrusted themselves to the governing body of students elected from Vinton High School. Those filling offices are as follows: Mayor-----------------------------Arthur Broussard Fire Chief---------------------- Don McCaughey Constable-------------------Farrell Perdreauville City Marshall------ Justice of the Peace Police Juror------- Councilmen--------- - - Jimmy Granger - - - Wanda Winter Lee Jay Thibodeaux •-----Jeanie Quinn Theo Richard David Donaldson Christine Crawford Johnny Ecker I JUNIOR PROM As memoirs of the two most important events of our Junior year we, the Seniors of '53 present these pictures to the SOUVENIR so that AND PLAY we will never forget the good times of those play practices and all the last minute con- fusion and preparation for the Junior-Senior Prom. Yes, all that plus the feeling of pride we had at both events when we knew that they were both a success. BAND AND PBP SQUAD The spirit of football season is created in a big way by the band, pep squad, cheerleaders, and majorettes. Adding color to a very cold night is the black and red uniform of the band and the blue and white of the pep squad as they march out on the field to perform at halftime. Credit for each fine showing goes in a large part to the directors of these two organiza- tions, Mr. Glynn Gardner, band director, and Miss Joyce LeBlanc, sponsor of the pep squad.
