It was not difiicult to deduce the fact that they were Freshmen, but upon second observation one knew there was something different about this class. Wliat was it? Oh-of course I-there was an almost intelligent look about them, a most unusual characteristic of Freshmen! The class proved to be quite interested in school work and did not seem to Hnd time for very many extra curricular activities. l.xlI211'g2ll'Ct Thomason, Eugene Alley and Winifred llflarshall were chosen as leaders of the class. ln our second year of high school, we were placed under the supervision of Nlrs. Meado1'. By this time our number had been decreased to eighty-four. This year Omega Poff, Duane Berry, Blondelle Foutz and James Stanley were elected officers of our class. September, 1931, found the Class of 1933 registering as Juniors. Duane Berry, VVinifred Ma1'sl1all, llflary Wllite lVIcCue and Ruthella Gearing were chosen to represent the class as ofiicers. ln November the Junior Play, Cinderella O'Reilly, was presented. For its great success we were indebted to lllrs. MCHdO1', our faculty advisor. Finally came the affair of the year, the Junior-Senior Banquet. This was a gala event, from which the Seniors departed with happy memories and a good will feeling for all Juniors. Now-the year of years has arrived. Seniors-at last! But that feeling of superiority and dignity which used to be prevalent has deserted us. lVIrs. Nloseley, our class sponsor, has in many ways helped us to uphold the standards of Seniors. Having proved to be such a capable leader, Duane Berry was unanimously proclaimed President of the Class of 1933. He wasf ably assisted by Orpha Cunningham, Pauline lVIcGeorge and Kyle Short. The Ghost Chaser was presented in lVIarch under the excellent direction of lVIrs. Nloseley and was acknowledged to be a great achievement. Now, with graduation before us, we are unable to describe our emotions. Is this feeling one of sorrow or of gladness? Sorrow when we think of parting, and gladness when we think how we have worked to make the name of the Class of 1933 an honored one. WVe sincerely hope we have accomplished that end. eil 22 lie
