The players portraying t-hararters were Lee Linson as l'lerrot. Catherine Conder as Pierrette, Vir- ginia llarper as the Kiss, Bob Baldridge as the Man, llale Fry as the Policeman, Har- vey Wyrkoff as the boy, Marion Waldorf as the girl, .lean Skea, as Grandma. Lloyd Lyons as newsboy, and .lean Shotwell as the Maiden Lady. Another play in the first group was the comedy Yours and Mine. Lenore Crew played the part of Kathryn, the wife, Bob Shotwell as James, the husband. Jack Mil- roy as llad Flowers. Earlene Miller as Mrs. llopper. The last play in the first group was the drama Two llnndred Riders. Su- zanne Mellean played Granny: Oren Tay- lor. Clem: Ruth Shoquist, Ann: Betty Aten. Mrs. Tracy: Dean Hoefle. Pan Flint- ridge: Dorothy Williams. Maw Flintridge: llill Hopper, Sam 'Frat-y: Keith Carlton, llon Cardress. In the set-ond group of plays, A Mayor t'or a Day, a romedy, was the first, play given. Mary Wyckoff played Joan Alden, the city attorney: Dorothy Williams, as Mrs. Meeks: llon Winsor. Tom Adams, the boy mayor: Bob Clime, S. J. Smugg: Phylis Kubik, Flossie: Dean Carlson, May- or Fnddy: Lee Linson, Ken Curtis: Kath- ryn liowe, Sunshine Sal: Boyd Gunn. Sourpnss Slick: Diek Anderson. Shut-Eye Sly: Virginia Kohl. Mrs. Fity-Jones: Mary beth llarttnan. Kay Curtis: three extras were Catherine Conder, Lloyd Lyons, and Florence Campbell. The set-ond play was Gold Featliersf a drama. Tom Reed played Lieut. Mahan: llob Shotwell, Johnson: Bill Hopper, Ed- die: Oda llnrt. Contest Play The Contest Play was ehosen by Miss Marion Stanley. It was a comedy entitled The lflarly Worm. She ehose a east from the people who had participated in the one-aut, plays. The leading role of Hector was played by llarvey Wyrkoff. Ruth Sho- quist played his sister. Mamie. The guest from lflngland was portrayed by Lois Da- vis. Jeanne Shotwell played Della., the housekeeper. Two friends. DoD9Y alld Jack Reed were played by Rob Shotwell and Oren Taylor respectively. On the 22nd of April. the east went to Iowa City, g21V0 the play with other plays competing against them. At Iowa City they received he excellent rating given. In fact, they t missed a superior rating by 1.4 points.
