Don Thompson, Fullback Don. a Senior who won his seeond letter, played good foothall through most of the season. Don shared in the running, passing, and kielking duties as well as haeking up the line on defense. Don hit hard on line plunges and was plaeed on the All-t'onl'erenee seeond team. lle will probably he missed when next year's season rolls around. Glenn Davis, Halfback Jiggs might have been small but don't let his size fool you. lle was very fast. and onee he got into the open field he was hard to bring down. Even though he was small his hard taekles ,iarred many opposing baeks. Jiggs, a Senior who won his first letter this year, will nevertheless be missed next year as he is the type that is always niee to have around. Hollis Henkle, Tackle Hllollyi' is a Senior who won his first letter this year and in doing so he made a, good aeeount of himself. Holly liked it best when the going was the toughest. and was always willing to piteh in. Holly was noted for his good disposition and is the kind a fellow that you like to have on your team. Bob Wilson, Center liob is another Senior who won his first letter this year, but he beeame an outstanding lineman. A fine defensive as well as offensive eenter, lioh worlked hard at his position and never looked for speeial reeognitiou. llis teammates, however, know that Hob deserves a lot of credit for his outstand- ing work this year. John Fowler, Halfback Johnny, a Junior letter winner. eontributed a lot to this year's team. lle was well known for his speedy and somewhat speetaeular reverses and he also did most of the signal ealling, Johnny is the type that plays smart. heads- up l'ootball all the time and will be expeeted to do much next year. Frank King, Guard Frankie is one of these short, stoeky, young fellows who are fast on their feet. Frank handled his position well and not only was he a good bloeker on offensive but he was also a good defensive man. Frankie was usually at the right plaee at the right time to do the most good. This Junior will do mueh to holster next year's line. Jack Mozena, End Jaek is another Junior who played a lot of football for us this year. Jaek showed a fighting spirit that earned him a plaee on the first team. Jaefk al- ways got down fast under punts and frequently nailed opposing backs in their traeks. lle will be eounted on to eome through next year. Andrew Pettit, End Andy is a Junior who won his first letter in football. This Junior played lots of good football this year and should make a fine wing man for next year's team. Andy improved greatly as the season progressed and made fre- quent ealls in opponents baekfields. Raimond Struble, Quarterback Ray. a Sophomore letter winner, is a smart hall player with lots of poise. Ray developed into a good bloeker this year and when there was a job to be done llay was always there to get it done. We ean all feel sure that Ray will do big things in the next two years. Good luek. Ray! Gordon Kunz, Tackle VVindy, a lfreshman. mind you, was the big boy of this year's squad and is as good a sport as you will find anywhere. You eould always find Vl'indy where the going was toughest. Wiiicly handled his assignments well and is a boy who will mind watehing around V. ll. S. the next few years.
