The seniors this year renresent that fun- lov nz rrou' but now a bit more settled and somewhat more serious minded. Although it has really been only a short time since our class of eirhty came roaming into the Hizr School kuildine so very anxious to enroll as hizl school Freshmen, it seemed to each one of us then that we would never become nDiQnified Seniors'. Now that we are, it seems as if it were only yesterday for perhaps the day beforel tiat we first roamed the corridors of V. K. S. with earer eyes entertainment for the upper and our mouths spread wide open. AS usual we Freshman furnished classmen with our irnoranceg nevertheless we were patient and lived and learned so that by the time we were sophomores they had beeun to respect us a little -ro- bahly because they now had other innocent ones to prev uoon. Our sophomore year did brouvht eighty-five of In our tkird year the supportinv juniors quite bevyn to be recornized in the Juniors and Seniors olans yet, but some qualities to display which would show sooner or later. This year us one year closfr to our voal ' a Diploma' for for I fear we had not Five us time. We had did mark time and which we were striving. not hold a vreat deal of excitement for us , sixty-five of us returned and gladly took ur our resronsibilities as . That year was a very rich one, filled with all sorts of new experiences for most of us. That year we had as our class officers the followinzf Prfsident, Bill Wallingg Vice President, Jack Clvg Secretary and lreasurer, Billye bensleyg who carried us tProuzh one of our most strenuous years Our immediate attention the host. We wanted to Rive lhelma Carter, this was aeco was turned to the Junior-Senior Banquet of which we were to be a record-breaking affairg with the hard work of our sponsor, Mlss mrlished. Our Junior Play, Uheet The Folksn, was a great success and brought Fig profits to fhe class. Our utmost achievement of the year was the nominating and electing our cahiiuate, Tor 'ix, for High School President, which was an unusual feat to win over the seniors. In S0Pt9Nb6T 1944, fifty-two Seniors hefan that long-waited for year, but with just half so much eagerness to graduate. nur officers for this year are Bill Belcher, President, Charles York, Vice President: and Billye Bensley, Secretary and Treasurer. We were again very fortunate in securinz our candidate for High School President, Bill Belcher to office. We now have the following officers: Jack Nail, President, Harley Feetherston Vice President, and Billye bensley, Secretary and Areasurer. Our highest aim this, our final year, is to raise enough money to leave a worthwhile memorial to our school. To help finance a memorial, the class presented their annual play 'Grandad Steps 0ut', under the direction of our sponsor, Thelma Carter, which lived up to everybody's expectations. Some of our other most outstanding events of the year were Hobo Day, April 18, with all of its riot and laughter, Senior day which was spent in Miami at Northeastern A. k M. Jr- C0119E0. Senior Work Day, Quiz program, broadcast over KVUO, our much appreciated Banquet 'hich the Juniors ZBV9 U5 OU WHY 4. Farewell Assembly, Baccalaureate, Commencement, and our picnic. This brings our history up to date, and if the rest of our days are as happy and so '0rth'hi1e as our School days. I'm sure we'll all live beautiful lives.
