ROTC UNIFORM CLASS OTC had an exceptionally great year at Vines. To kick off the year, they held a car wash to raise money. The money that they made went toward their trip to Texas A SL M, Aggie For A Day . Our Vines, ROTC drill team per- formed at the Homecoming at the Plano Senior High School. During the Christmas holidays, ROTC marched in a parade along with the other ROTC groups from different schools. The last major event of the year was the Military Ball. The ban- quet was held at the senior high, where everyone danced and dined until midnight. -ff Q ,Q wid

PGSITI E PEER PRESSURE . J. sg W,:...,,,,s N f . .T.O.P. fStudents Thinking of Peersj is a relatively new association here at Vines. The members work with new students, hoping to introduce them to their new school and effectively form in them a positive attitude about themselves, their teachers, and their peers. Besides their dealings with numerous new students, this year's S.T.O.P. members participated in several community service projects dealing especially with children. They were also actively involved in Drug Awareness Week, which was held in early spring. The 1986-87 officers, elected in the spring of ,86, were: President: Jennifer McComic, Vice President: Rachel Buckner, Secretary: Anne-Marie Chard, Treasurer: Beth Donovan, and Special Projects Coordina- tor: Audra Cobb. The sponsors are our Viking counselors, Jim Fitzpatrick and Paula Nickel. All S.T.O.P. members thought this year to be a very productive and worthwhile one. Positive peer pressure can work wonders. and Jim . K V155
