GRUWING ULD GRACELESSLY , vauua AT HEART DEAD AT Muvv irthdays, those annual festivals celebrating the eventual coming of inner peace and social security, seem to bring nothing more than zits at this stage in the game. I know what you're thinking - lf time's an illusion, why aren't I eighteen? Well, we can't answer that one, but we can ask another! At what age does the magic of that simple party paraphanalia disappear? The silly hats, the chocolate cake, the melted ice cream, and those little things that you blow through to make a sound similar to ducks calling on a midsummer's afternoon after eating a large bowl of pasta somehow seem to lose their magic CWell, New Year's may be an exceptionj. These fun diddles are replaced after puberty by more mature and intelligent things. Instead of having a party at McDonald's at which everyone tries to throw straws into a cup to win a free box of cardboard cookies, birthday time is spent at Chuck E. Cheese's pushing little children off moving rides onto a tile floor covered with pizza sauce and Coke. But all good things in their time must pass - so must zits. More complex problems evolve. Taxes, wrinkles, hair loss, and employment for lack of ith are just a few of them. The least attractive of these is, ofcourse, taxes. Clsn't it great to live in a free country? Good enough to pay for, I think.5 You can't hide, you can't rung they will find you. The inevitability of birthdays is there, but why should one worry? Birthdays are only symbolic, for age comes in the mind, not the body. But then a burning question is raised: lf wisdom comes with age, how come many old people are senile? fps 5 stsss fl ss SSC.
