S Against Mlliams RIVALRY ENDS IN LAST GAME he Vines Soph- omore girls b a s k e t b a I I team had an excellent season winning lo out of 18 games. Their toughest opponent was Williams because of the large rivalry that exists between the teams. Practicing hard every morning, the Lady Vilses exhibited their slsills and good sportsmanship in every game. ln the District Tournament at the end of the season, they played Duncanville in the semi-finals and won. ln the finals, the Sophomores faced Wil- liams and fought to the finish. The final score was 47-50, Williams. Placing second in Dis- trict, the Lady Vilees had a very successful and rewarding 85-86 season of basketball. We worked hard, played hard and won.
