ALL OF THIS- AND SMARTS , TOO l he Honor Society recognizes Vines students who qualify on the merits of scholarship, ser- vices, and leadership into the society. lt serves us and the community in a variety of ongoing projects. They collected pet food coupons to aide the Humane Society. They also did the annual Christmas canned food drive for the Plano PUSH project. On Halloween they dressed up in costumes and went to Heritage Manner to entertain the senior citizens. There was approximately seventy sophomore students in Honor Society. There are about a hundred and seventy Fresh- man. General meetings are called as needed, and the executive board meets weekly on Monday mornings to discuss the upcoming events. AND THEE he students in woods, metals and drafting have worked very hard this year. ln woods, students strived to complete an extensive desk-cabinet- counter system for the main office of Vines. The addition was designed to help the of- fice staff to better serve the needs of the students and visitors to the building. ln metals, they learned how to handle welding equipment and solder metal safely and se- curely. ln drafting, students learn about ar- chitectural designs and concepts before putting them to use on various projects throughout the year.
