I really -njoy being at the schools oecause, i feel I am contri- outing something worth- hile to the community. Quintana's job is not an -asy one, though. In addi- ion to class lectures, he ounsels students with o roblems. There are .ome tough situations for ids to deal with, and I am ere to point out some al- ernatives, said Quin- ana. i don't come down ard on the kids to be ean ... ljust want them 0 know what will happen to them, he said. He does lunch, hall and bus duties. I want the kids to see that policemen can relate to them and are not out to get them, he said. Kim Turner said, When I first saw him, I looked around to see who was in trouble. Now I know he's here for me and anyone else who needs him, she said. Asked if he would change anything about his career, the easyggoing ex- football player leaned back in his chair and grinned a lopsided grin and answered, Nope. Macho man triumphs over the large forces of evil once again while showing a great deal of humility in the process. 55
