' I When re'hearsaI started the actors got in their T places If they were off stage, they were sup- posed to be quiet and pay attention to what was happeriing They also pre- pared themselves for their suppbsed to stay in char- acter, pay attention, or be quiet, but that was not the way it was Sometimes.
