There was, for the first time, a female drum major for Vines' marching band, Jana Dillon, 10th grader, was the first fe- male to hold the position. Sharing the di- rection of the marching band on the field this year with Dillon, was sophomore Brod Eggers. Toes topped and fingers snapped to the tunes of the Robert E. Lee and the ttCotton-eyed Joe with the accompani- ment by the 1983-84 Vines Drum Corps.
