rs. The sophomores from Vines School, which were coached Mike Farish, along with the from Williams and High Schools made up the varsity track team. This had a spectacular season, a great record of first place, place, and honorable men- The sophomores partici- ted in the North Garland Relays, bringing home six med- als. The track team also partici- pated in the Lewisville and Grand Prairie meets. The major- ity of their sophomore year is a preparational stage before Var- sity competition their Junior and Senior year. The sophomores practice with the Varsity track team and compete in several of the same meets. Participating in a Mark Kerwin: I 00 yd. dash 220 yd. dash 440 sprint relay McCormack: 120yd. high hurdles 3 0 yd. inzermed hurdles sport like track takes a lot of mus- cle building and hard, strenuous work. The members of the sopho- more track team are self-moti- vated and discipline themselves to set and achieve their goals, in order that they may better them- selves for future competition as a Plano Wildcat. Track - ust Truckirz' on Down Ninth grade girls track team had an exciting year. These girls participated in many meets. They traveled to Carrollton, Lewisville, and Highland Park. The girls competed in several different Cindy Toile runs for a Viking victory. Up, up, and away! says Rosy Jos- hm. This looks like a job for Kool -A id events. Their strongest events were the mile run with Cindy Tolle, and the 800 meter with Cindy, Kim Meyer, and Nancy Schellhorn. They worked out first ..... A period during second and third quarter. These girls are working hard to make the sophomore team for next year. Coach Adams was pleased with the girls' effort. Look l Up in the sky - it's supershot Kathy Keith.
