The Vines Chapter of the al Junior Honor Society is group of individuals who strive or high set personal and aca- goals. The requirements this club are a 92 grade aver- ge, good citizenship and an of 12 service points quarter. To receive these points, variousjobs must done. Grading papers, selling candy during fund raisers, work- ing in the school store, and tutor- ing are a few of the things done to earn these points. This group, sponsored by Ms. Clifton and Ms. Walkup, organ- ized many projects this year. The most satisfying and heart warm- ing of these was the adoption of an elderly woman at Christmas time. The Honor Society did ht Tracy Newman, Heave H 0. . ' 7 H' 2 R s gxfl 1 'nf T ff, W 3 Stacey Fix, hot and tired numerous projects for Purple Pride Week. A dance, with the theme of Purple Paradise, was an activity given for the students. Also during this time the Honor Society donated a video tape machine to the school. These pro- jects were only a few taken on by the Honor Society this year. The Honor Society is a club we at Vines are proud of. 9th grade Ms. Walkup, pointing I0 the star of success. Latin C lub, A Big Success Success was the word for the Latin Club this year. With suc- cess in mind, they plunged for- ward into a very busy, but rewarding experience. With the help of Mrs. Duke, their sponsor, they planned and prepared for their upcoming activities, such as the Foreign Language Food Fair, the Foreign Language Christmas x Party, a spring dinner, and the District Foreign Language Fair. The Latin Club accomplished a lot this year, and will try to make next yearjust as successful.
