Student Council has spread spirit throughout Vines this year. Student Council along with the Cheerleaders, sponsored Spirit Week during Oct. 29th through Nov. Znd. This helped to promote school pride and added spirit to that week's game. The week was followed by a Harvest Dance, given by the council. During March 17-21, the council, along with the Honor Society, spon- sored Purple Pride Week. To begin the year the council greeted each teacher with a car- nation. But, this wasn't the begin- ning of the Student Council year. Earlier in July. Jeff Sigman, Mark Hood, and Mrs. Griffin attended a Student Council Workshop at Stephen F. Austin University. Throughout the year. the coun- cil was busy selling sing-a-grams. suckers, and candy bars. To sum up the year the council attended a banquet given in their honor at Vines. To introduce the future Junior class, the councils from Clark, Williams, and Vines. sponsored a formal dance for all sophomores. Teresa gives her weekly report.
