The transition from middle school football to high school football is a difficult one, but the young men that made up the freshman football teams of Vines made it with flying colors. They were asked to make sacrifices that they had never had to make before, and they did it without hesitation. These young men are to be commended and congratu- lated for making it through both the good and the bad times that accompany any type of athletic event. Coach Walker, coach Far- ish, and coach Mankins believe that these young men will succeed in any athletic venture that they enter, and that they will represent Vines in only the best way next year. It was also the coaches wish that in two years they will be able to see these young men playing an important role in bringing the continued excellence in football that everyone in Plano strives for. The coaches led the freshmen An team to a 7-3 game total and worked with the B team to reach a l-3 season total. We give great thanks for the effort of the freshman teams.
