This year, the Vikings made several major strides towards becoming good enough to play for the Wildcats next year. These individuals gradually developed into a successful team, with a common goal and purpose as the season progressed. As a team, the Vikings performed well during the season, gaining strength, maturity, and vital experience during the spring training season throughout the year. These play- ers faced some tough competi- tion. It was their second to last game against Denton sopho- mores. It was to be played at Denton field. The outcome of the game depended on whether the Vikings could score with four minutes left: i was fourth and two. The touch down attempt was good, and s the Vikings went home with .. great win. For the last game o the season, the Vikings were t play the Richardson sophomores. We felt that for a successful sea son, we had to go out on a win ning note. This was a big chal- lenge to the team.
