A pleased audience also heard The EnTrance oT Sidar by lvanow and AT Dawningn by Cad- man. AppropriaTe music Tor commencemenT exercises in June is anoTher conTribuTion oT The Girls' OrchesTra. Adding color and beauTy To The occasion oT The Spring FesTival was The Girls' Glee Club. PresenTing The audience wiTh a smooTh Tlow oT Teminine voices, The girls sang Begin The Be- guinem by Cole PorTer, The Spinning Chorus by Wagner, and i'Love's Dream aTTer The Ball by Cezebullca. Besides iTs parT in The spring en- TerTainmenT, The Girls' Glee Club sang on The December broadcasTs oT The weekly Family Rosary program. During The ChrisTmas holidays They were heard singing carols aT several relig- ious houses in The ciTy. The VarsiTy Band played smarT, snappy marches Tor TooTball games and pep sessions. IT also conTribuTed The music Tor several civic demonsTraTions. This year having been The TenTh Anniversary oT The Spring FesTival, The band's concerT rendiTions included excerpTs Trom The pasT nine perTormances. Included were The powerTul Tinale oT Dvoralcs New World Sym- phony and Meecham's miiTanT American PaTrol. The spiriTed Tinale oT The TesTival was BaTTle l-lymn oT The Republic. Our swing band, The Red JaclceTs, played aT school dances and aT several assemblies. STrains oT BeauTiTul Ohio, Theme song oT The orches- Tra, inTroduced The Third parT oT The TesTival.
