--I Students A variety of personalities exist at Vincentian . . the outgoing, having a smile for everyone . . . the shy, retiring to his corner in studyhall . . . the fun- lover, playing pranks on his fellow classmates . . . the studious, diligently copying notes . . . the efficient, always having the right assignment . . . the sloppy, stuffing papers into a book . . . the humorist, contin- ually cracking jokes . . . the intellectual, posing a question . . . the athlete, rushing to the locker room . . .the enthusiast, cheering loudest at the games. . . the industrious, competing in contests . . . the lo- quacious, eager for conversation . . . the quiet, anx- ious for solitude . . . the non-conformist, rejecting age-old traditions . . . the idealist, hoping for some- thing better . . . the optimist, looking forward to each day . . . But whatever . . . these individual per- sonalities form a unique community . . . Vincentian.

School l6'uildiug In 1917, Vincentian Institute consisted of a three- storied building housing thirteen classrooms and an auditorium. The gym and cafeteria were added in 1927, in 1943, the music room and library wing was finished. Modernization of V.I. is continuing. A new biology lab, physics lab, and language lab are present. The outside of the building sports new windows and doors. What is the building to the students of Vincen- tian? Not merely a group of classrooms for education and study . . . not merely a gymnasium for athletic events . . . not merely an auditorium for plays and school assemblies . . . But a haven for eleven hun- dred curious, maturing, young people . . . common interests . . . individual goals . . . a place for getting together . . . dances . . . meetings . . . preparation for the parts we must all carry out in life . . . We have all found our own special part of the building where a school day becomes more than a time for studying . . . whether it be in the journalism room. . .music room . . . stage. . .gym . . .
