Dear Reverend Mother M. lgnatia, During the past twenty-six years Vincentian High School has graduated scores of well-educated Christian women. These women have watched Vincentian grow and mature until it became the institution it is today. Now they are witnessing one of the outstanding changes in its history. Because of the constantly increasing de- mand for more and better equipped teaching facilities, you have deemed it neces- sary to erect a modern school building to replace the one which has sheltered and guided so many students in their quest for knowledge. The erection of the new Vincentian High School building marks a new chapter in the history of our school. It is a symbol of your faith in youth in its search for right reason, Christian principles, truth, and the ultimate goal of heaven. As long- as this building shall stand and there are devoted and pious women to teach in it, that is how long truth will flourish within its protective walls and God's Word.will prevail and be carefully taught. Students yearning for the power of knowledge will come to its doors. The world is constantly changing, and education and the means of educating must change and improve with it. Your gift will be appreciated not only by today's students but also by the students of tomorrow and generations later. It is not only concerned with the problems at hand but also with those of the future, and it has sought to be well prepared for any difficulties which might occur. We, the students of today, thank you for the countless hours spent in planning, the tremendous financial burden you have assumed, and for providing us with one of the most modern structures in which to complete our education. As the citizens of tomor- row, we also thank you for the foresight you manifested in so well-planned a build- ing, your faith in us, and for building a school to which we will be able to entrust the education of our children with the utmost confidence. lt is our most sincere prayer that God may shower His blessings upon you and the community which you represent. Gratefully yours, President of Student Council
