Our School Vincentian High School, 8200 McKnight Road, Pittsburgh 37, Pennsylvania is a private and a preparatory school for girls. lt is approximately eight miles north of downtown Pittsburgh. Resident and day students are accepted. Establishment of the school dates back to 1932. lt is conducted by the Vincentian Sisters of Charity. The Founder and first Principal, Reverend John Hagel, held that position until his unexpected death January 10, 1935. Reverend Mother M, Emerentiana, Foundress of the Vincentian Sisters of Charity in the United States, was the School's first President. November 14, 1932, the School was placed on the Accredited List of Second- ary Schools by the Department of Public Instruction, Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, Credentials Division. Academic and General Courses are offered. In its quarter century of service the School has aimed to help the child to formulate a working concept of life by developing the attitudes, understand- ings, and habits necessary for Christ- like living in this generation in our American democratic Society. The ulti- mate aim of the School is to aid the pupil to attain the final purpose of Education which is absolute TRUTH, GOODNESS, and BEAUTY, namely Tl-IE BEATIFIC VISION.
