ll Clhllll . JUNIOR CLASS HISTORY In the fall of 1950, 51 eager pupils entered the door to the Freshman Class Home Room. We gained one classmate, Charles Williams, from Marietta. Connie Jones moved to Barberton, and Franklin Allender vent to Zanesville. Mr. Graham was our class advisor. Our Freshman Initiation brought many laughs and a bit of attention our way. After an enjoyable vacation, we returned as Sophomores. We lost Everett McGraw, Waldo Way, Russell Kesterson, and Connie Jones returned from Barberton. Douglas Lawrence moved here from Amesville. Our class sponsors, we rated two this year, were Mr. Graham and Mr. Stone. The big event that year was a Sophomore Dance, with music by Russ Chidester and his orchestra. We all had a good time. We elected for our class officers: President. . . . . .Kenny Meek Secretary. . . .Jack Leibrand Vice-President , , ,Gary Jones Treasurer. . . .Carol Root News Reporters. . . . .Connie Jones A Marita Barrett Well, after our vacation, our Junior year, and the biggest so far began. We ordered our class rings early, and received them in November. We are surely proud of them. We all attended a skating party at Marietta sponsored by the Juniors. We had several losses in membership this year. Those who left us were Orville Mayle, Don Hunter, Richard Coe, Charles Williams, Sara Hetheney, Ann Johnson, and Romona Hendricks. We gained Louise Bee and Deloris Murphy. We started getting worked about the Junior-Senior Banquet. Alternately, we snared the concessions at the ball games with by the Seniors. We sponsored a Donkey Basketball game. There were lots of laughs that evening. Our Junior Class advisor is Mr. Eldridge and our class officers. Russell Trembly News Reporters. . . . .Evelyn Scott 8 Carol Mae Root Work for our Junior Class Play has just begun, and we hope ou all like it The name of it is 'Quit Your Kiddin ' 7 - S' We finally managed to make enough money to feed the Seniors, 1' and now we can hardly wait till 1t's our turn to be at the place of honor at the banquet table as Seniors. 9 a
