He was a problem solver with few peers, and countless students and friends benefited from his deep understanding of human nature. No man dies as long as there is one person left in the living world who remembers him with fond recall, and shares a thought of him. Dave will always be with those who knew and loved him. He will be universally missed.

A MESSAGE FROM THE PRESIDENT Dear Students: Vincennes University is an institution which has great “quality.” The student life and campus activities reflect the goal of providing quality education in the classroom and in campus events. The participation of students, faculty, staff, and administration makes that possible. In this publication is a summary of the 1986-1987 academic year activities. Students learn much by participating in clubs, organizations, and campus events. The yearbook staff has endeavored to capture in this book the spirit and essence of what makes Vincennes University an interesting place to pursue academic and career goals. I hope students enjoy the memories which come from the pictures of the 1986-1987 year. May it remind us all of our contribution to the success of the University fulfilling its mission. The University’s motto as found on the official seal is “Learn in Order to Serve.” Having student leadership opportunities, participating in campus events, and achieving educational goals allow students to develop their potential to the fullest. I wish everyone the very best, and hope you enjoy seeing and reading about the “quality” events at Vincennes University. Sincerely, Phillip Presid
