The production featured an intricate set, numerous special effects, and makeup to realistically create the characters in the play set in the 193O's. Special effects were used to create special moods during the play, with elec- trical devices and audio equipment to lend atmosphere. The actors' facial makeup was applied by Tim Herron, a professional makeup designer and actor from Cincinnati, Ohio. Students chosen as the main characters and their role were seniors Doris Costello as Frau Frankenstein, Tom Doyle, as the Monster, J.J. Letellier as Sophieg and Jim Tillet as Dr. Victor Frankenstein. Also, freshmen Tom Dowden as Ernest, Flose Gordon as Justin, Doug Flich as Henry, and Sandra Shea as Elizabeth. Frankenstein's set included a fireplace, balcony, secret door, and furniture donated by three Indiana colleges and the Vincennes community. ,,...,...-cal 47 Before a-n-n-nd After X, o ,......---- 'x 'F ., 'Q KO Q xi x --e 'if Sigma Nu, social fraternity, shows their version of 2O0 Years Ago Today United Campus Christain Fellowship members reenact the story of Noah's Ark Harrison Residence Hall performs the prize winning skit of Fat Man , The highlights of Mom's WeekendweretheAll-campus Variety Show and the 10th annual Miss V.U. Frater- nities, Sororities, and independent clubs participated with much enthu- siam. A cross country turkey trot was held before Thanksgiving vacation. The men ran a one and three fourths mile course, while the women ran one mile. Mixed, single, and double matches were held for table tennis, badmin- ton, and tennis. Volleyball and bowling involved ev- eryone as these sports had men, women, and mixed teams compet- ing for the titles. Competition was tough in the six divisions of the wrestling matches. IHSAA officials refereed the match- es. Students displayed their card skills in the Euchre tournaments. Other sports during the year were golf, archery, shuffleboard, one-on- one basketball, and free throw shooting. At the spring sports banquet, an award was given to the outstanding male and female intramural athe- lete. These awards went to Wanda Schwartz and Todd Pettigrew. we. , nf, , ai?-2 ,T Q . 55 ,,,, , ,.5: . . ia .1 T .'iiVVViiVfii if Q ir i 5 5 T ifiii it s T rrsr r -rrrx T liii . Students spend their spare time playing pool, cards, or perhaps watching television. The Campus Club in the Student Union and the Physical Education-Recreation Complex offer the students a change of pace. There are always activities to be found on campus, whether they be reading up on information in the library or just clowning around with the gang down the hall in the dorm. 162 if-J il, rv' 'Pi 'x QT ww, .
