Good Times at V.U. are. playing in the leaves ona Saturday afternoon; walking to town to do your shopping; going to the river between classes: studying at the library; going to dances to meet new guys; yelling out the windows at girls; all night for guys; hours for girls; being late to class; term papers due tomorrow morning; going to the nurse and dying before she returns from lunch; working on the yearbook until 2:00 in the morning; borrowing railroad lights; having a patriotic john; waiting forever in the cafeteria line; learning to drink and smoke; parking in a no-parking zone; finding out red towels and white shirts can’t be washed together; togetherness: everyone working to help each other achieve their goals. People classes. trudging through the SNOW to Art classes come out when everything blooms. Mary Delaughter was the lead soprano in “110 in the Shade.”’
