Voo was accepted as a member team in the Y- Industrial league. There competition is tough and plenty rough. We also played some in- dependent teams and a few college teams. College games were with Centralia Township Junior College, the Hanover College B team, the Evansville College B team, and Oak- land City College. Ina holiday tourney of independent teams the Trailblazers brought home the second place trophy and the Good Sportsmanship trophy, The boys had a fair season for a starter and are looking ahead to good basketball in the V. U. future. The team was weakened slightly by the loss of Ed Cone, Bicknell, Harold Johnson, Nelson Van Fleet, and Arnold Vermillion, all of Vincennes, who joined the Navy during the school year. On February 17, a homecoming game with Oakland City College was observed. A queen was crowned and a dance at the Vincennes Country Club followed the game. Inter-mural basketball held the limelight this winter for the men students at Voo. Those who were not on the varsity team and some who were, enjoyed the great Hossier sport. A tournament was held but at the time of writing no victor had come forth from the Alphas, Betas, Deltas, or Sigmas. 37 SLE Stamese tssRersas ils 0 OIE ST ar SUS SLE STEN Ed TOPLESS LESSEE ha ah ERTS SOE TTT SPL DPE EONS Pe Yer COG LST AC ALR NP PSRs NES Shay SLANG tr oF I SRDISLAT a ea VINCENNES 7 EDU GARI OUNIA eG CNS lecen During the 1950-'51 school year something new came into the halls of Vincennes University.
