Parade Colorful floats, high-stepping bands, charming girls, enthusiasm pitched to a high degree, and a high-ranked gridiron team . . . these appeared to the graduate of Lincoln as he returned for the homecoming celebration. What he did not see, however, was the work and time put in on both preparation of the team and parade. After many hours of work on floats and weeks of training by the football team, both came through in fine style as the parade was successful and the Alices beat Wiley 19-14. Joan Gilliatt and Jean Milam ride on the Senior float Our Pride, voted the most outstanding float in the parade. The Playshop float, Scrub ' em Alices. brought laughs as it floated down Main. Sue Chattin is shown on Sponsor ' s float, Over the Rain- bow. f ? ' The Junior float caught the attention of the crowd by two huge bongos. Seated are Rita Finke and Sue Goodman.
