Well you re not normal' The first type are the Inferlorlty Complex who force out a feeble H lo They seem to be under the 1m DFESSIOH that Malenkov IS on the other end of the 11ne You keep re peatmg What? Pardon me? but It seems to make them more nervous untll they finally hang up 1n mere frlght and some go as far as keel1ng over or falntlng Second are the Superlorlty Com plex who seem to thlnk that people ly after you p1Ck up the phone they scream 1nto the mouthplece wlth a lusty roar Hello Hello are you there ? Is that vou Sly more hmmm ? They run up vour doctors b1ll for punctured ear drums' Thlrd ty pe are the Babblers They are usually mlddle aged females who greet you w1th a Hello Clara dear Whats that? THE EXILE ture thex would keep on untll the blg dal Graduatlon lou heal the same storx from a lot of boxs and gllls But It IS so long befole Ill flnlsh and besldes I hate school O1 I don t llke the teachers or I can t do the lessons I find that f I don t thlnk about the tlme lt wlll dx bx No one l9dllX hates school lt IS just hls lmaglnatlon and lmpatlence to be flnlshed If a boy or glrl uses a teacher falrlv I know he wlll use them falrlx too and there would be no need for the word hate If a per son studles he or she can do the les sons Everx one needs to studx to learn and to be able to do the work When the tlme came so I could go back to school I had to wrlte to the superlntendent and walt anxlouslv for an answer to see lf I would be ac cepted at school as a student agaln Thanks to the superlntendent and the school board I succeeded ln gettlng back lNot everx one would be as lucky as I was ln gettlng back to school An educatlon means a lot to a per son A hlgh school dlploma IS needed ln gettlng most Jobs now so bovs and glrls thlnk tw ICS before sou leave school fO1 lf lou leave I know that vou wlll be sorrv that lou dld School IS wonderful and I am xerx glad that I r tU1H d to flnlsh Evel3n Thompson 55 OUR CI ASS TRIP The last thlng I knew IS that we were on the Vlnalhaven II readx for that long awalted trlp that was ahead of us' Teachels and pals were down at the wharf to glue us a frlend lv and heartx send off' Then the whlstle blew and as the boat headed for Rockland the laughter dled and we w ere on our w ax ' It was a lalnx dal Flldav Aprll 16 but the sound of the drlzzle on the bus roof and wlndows gave us a warm feellng The rlde made us drowsx so there we sat half asleep wlth our ex es w lde open looklng at all the new slghts' We arrlved at the Contlnental Ho tel ln Washlngton at 6 30 a m Sat urdax and as the bell hops came rush lng out to take our luggage we stood thele llke zombles just gazlng' What a beautlful cltg and what frlendly people' It seemed wonderful to be ln a warm cllmate wlth evervthmg gl een and ln bloom' The Contlnental IS a beautlful hotel sltuated near the Capltol wlth flowers surroundlng It The glrls especlallv had a gay tlme trlpplng around the balconv Wh1Ch was adgacent to our room' Saturdav afternoon we vlslted the Congresslonal Llbrary and IH the ev enlng we saw that new popular Clner ama whlch was so reallstlc that we came walklng out of the theatre at a 135 angle Easter Sunday we attended the New York Presbvterlan Church ser VICQS at 11 00 a m It actuallv knock ed the wlnd out of us llstenlng to that lent and everx thlng was so exact that It would stun you The Smlthsonlan Instltute was next on our llst and that lncluded all the Presldents wlves dl esses t Wrlght s plane and mllllons of other lnterestlng thlngs Later on ln the afternoon we went to the Andrew Mellon Art Gallerx and took ln a con cert whlch followed It was so far over us that most of us left' It was elther that or slt there break down and scream 'Vlonday mornlng Mr Godfrev took us on a most lnterestlng tour through the F B I Bulldlng and we later went to a Marlne Band rehearsal Wh1Ch was belng recorded We arrlved sllghtlx late but llstened to three or four terrlfic numbers The Athletlcs and Senators had a nlght ball game whlch most of us at tended We all had a wonderful tlme hootlng and hollerlng wlth hands full of hot dogs pop and crackerjacks and Van even caught a souvenlr ball w hlch nearlx took hls hand off' Tuesdax was the all dax tour of Washlngton whlch lncluded the Capl tol Llncoln 'Vlemorlal XV3ShlIlgt0H , t, . , - ' , as ' H ' ' . .fi . . . .
