,Li CROWNING OF THE QUEEN MR HOLMES GAME MR WENNER S GAME QUEEN YVONNE HARMON AND KING JOHN PETERSON OF 1954 CARNIVAL CARNIVAl October Z9 1954 was a big day ln the Vlllard Hxgh School The carmval program 1ncluded songs by the elementary grades a song by the cho1r vocal solo by Karen Sorenson and selectlons by the hlgh school band After the program the vast crowd was free to try thexr luck at the var1ous chance and sklll games Lunch was served by the home economxcs glrls all evenmg The long awa1ted moment was coronatxon when John Peterson and Yvonne Harmon of the Sophomore Class were crowned lung and queen by the Student Councxl Pre s1dent Mary Ann Grussmg Second place went to the Jumor Class whose candl- dates were Kathleen Hartin and Lawren Frederick.
