Dear Freshmen, Welcome to Villanova’s unique “Wildcat Spirit!” I can’t believe you are all here, “making it happen”! It was only one short year ago that I was in your same shoes. Isn’t this an exciting time in your life??? Enjoy! Orientation involves freshmen in a busy schedule of activities designed to help you meet classmates, leaders of the university, and get to know campus resources. The Freshman Record is here to help you remember names and faces, as well as acquaint you with campus life. There is a myriad of activities available to satisfy your every interest. The Villanova Student Union is a major programming organization that is open to any student or to any of his her ideas. It is at the center of campus activities, and YOU are invited to join in the enthusiasm of this exciting programming organiza- tion as a member or by attending our many events! I hope that each of you will have an exciting and rewarding experience during the 1988-89 school year. Just remember, it will be what you make it. Come join us in planning and executing such campus-wide events as Spring Fever Week, Sibling Weekend, Homecoming and many more. Lectures Be a “mover and shaker” by joining the Inter- Union committee. We need adventurous indi- viduals to plan events such as all Union gatherings, picnics, volleyball and much more for all our Union members and friends. Publicity Join a committee where talk isn’t cheap. Book well-known VIP’s and stimulate your mind and those of your friends! Get the campus talking about controversial issues and current events. Creative, outgoing, “people” people to enliven the publicity committee. Responsible for the de- velopment of the Freshman Record. T-shirts, ads, and the general promotion of fun.
