The gloriously reigning Mission Queen, Mary Dougherty, poses with her attendants and Mis s io n Club officers after the cor- onation ceremony. ,Missivus 1-i 54st 4 4 Fulfilling the spiritual command to help others, the Sophomores capably managed the Mission Club. Their first endeavor, The Light of His Face, proved successful both dramatically and financially. Since the first production ten years ago, the mission plays have come quite a long way. All but one have been written by Sister Mary Carmela, M.P,F. Another highlight of the club was the Mission Queen Crowning in June. V 41 W ., ,,....-e----1 A scene from the annual Sophomore Mission Play. Blind Timothy, Elaine lmbroglia, has just brought Jesus' message oi recovery to Veronica, Joanne Wolen. The play was written by Sister Mary Carmela Pagano and directed by Sister Elizabeth Arcangeli. XX The Villa Victoria choir was chosen to sing at a rally held in the War Memorial Building, to express sympathy for the suffering people of Hungary. Prayers and material aid were asked from all present. The Most Reverend George W. Ahr, Bishop of Trenton presided, and is here being given a telegram from the Holy Father. For The Perplexed... A group of representatives from the Student Council meet to discuss a current problem Seated tleft to Tight, Marsh Zak, Secretary Barbara Mylowe Senior Class President, Ann Brown, President Anita Del Turcog Vice President Standing Patricia DeCesare, Treasurer Diane Repole Sergeant at Arms, Aliee Rogers, Soe1alCha1rman 5111116111 601111111 Composed of fourteen members representing the four classes, the Student Council was led this year by President Ann Brown and suoer- vise-11 by Sister Mary Carmela, Su- perior. The council acts as a med- iator between students and faculty and enforces school regulations. Assemblies, held once a month, en- able any newly arisen problem to be freely discussed.
