ew ids on the lock A few new changes have occurred at Villa Park High School this year. The school has become a four year high school with many freshmen entering for the '87-'88 year. Along with the freshmen, the sophomores are here too. Now, the food lines will be even longer and the campus even more congested than it already was. Are their new faces a wanted welcome? You be the judge, but these eager young students are here to carry on the Spartan traditions of leadership, pride, and sportsmanship. One other plus is more sports teams and increased activities to supply the demands of the many new students. Along with the cheerleaders, Villa Park spirit has now surged anew with these new students and their great effort to make Villa Park High School the best. Let's hope that they've had a great year with many more ahead of them. With the seniors of '88 here to show them the way, they will undoubtedly have great high school memories. vii ' . g ' .F PA Brad Creagan, Mike Aguirre, and Brian Pearsall joke around during lunch. Unfor- tunately, this isn't Hawaii, but merely the sweltering sun of Southern California, stifling smog, burning cement, and a pool. But, hey! It's the next best thing. In September, the Villa Park pep squads sponsored a luau for fall athletes at our own pool. This event was an effort by the pep squad to dis- play their support for the cross country, water polo, and football teams. When asked to describe the luau, 1 0 Opening 5 . Ll .35 I ... Some people decided to take a dip in the clear, chlorinated water of the pool.
