As a first semester' sophomore, Sophomore English was required. lf students were able to sweat out the composition test and pass it, they were allowed to skip Basic Composition and go on to oth- er English courses. The selection wi- dened to include Composition, Lit- eratures, Journalism, Annual, Read- ing, plus many more. These courses were interesting and well taught by a group of teachers who brought the students into the subject with little difficulty and much experience. X l Faculty: English 23
