A Young Team This year ' s tennis team was a very young one with only three returning players, L. Is- bicki, L. Schile, and P. Keller. The rest of the team consisted of freshman. They were L. Angle, C. Emery, M. Landis, C. Morris, and D. Merkel. Lydia Hayhor was the coach. The final record did not show what the team really did. The team showed a great deal of determination and spirit to win. Individual records showed signs of improvement over the last few seasons, and will keep improving over the next seasons as they gain more ex- perience. The record for the 1981-82 season was 0-9. The team hopes to have a better season next year.

Teamwork Means Victory The VMC volleyball team recently ended a successful season. They placed third in the NAIA District 18 tournament in New Willmington. Members of the 81-82 volleyball team are: Pam Plasket, Lori Davis, Joni James, Nancy Fay, Stasia Coyne, Anne Davis, Mari- anne Henshaw, Sue Phillips, and Rose Kemmerer. For the second year Pam Plasket was selected to the Women s Keystone Conference All-Conference Team, and was also chosen to the first ever NAIA District 18 Volleyball Team. Pam led the Conference in kills and was fifth in the Conference in saves. The team ended the season with a 9-15 record. There was much talent on the team this year, and with the help of some aggressive newcomers and the advantage of an entire team returning next year looks to be even brighter for the team.
