VILLA MARIA ACADEMY BUFFALO, NEW YORK VOLUME 47 1975 1 mmoalatm Ay We are all like trees. We must develop, and become strong and sturdy. Each one of us must learn how to be flexible, and bend with the wind. Just as trees go through periods of transition from spring to fall So do we, throughout our whole life changejn growth to become productive and fruitful. W A l The seed of the oak is the tiny acorn. With time and care it grows into a magnificent work of nature. So it is the same with us, as we start out as something small. With time and much care we are helped, by our Faculty, to grow and develop until we achieve the height of our capacity. TRIBUTE We. the Graduating Class of 1975, would like to pay tribute to someone who has made contributions to our school, and. more importantly..to the girls themselves. This person is our beloved principal. Sister Mary Samuel. There is no honor high enough to bestow on her in relation to the countless improvements made under her care. It is Sister who is responsible for Villa’s new science equipment, excellent audio-visual material, modern lighting system, well developed guidance program, and newly upholstered cafeteria chairs. Presently, under Sister's watchful eyes, one of her greatest dreams for this school is coming true — a new physical education complex to benefit students of the past, present and future. These are only the material things Sister has done. More importantly, she has put the faculty and the girls first in her mind, serving as a friend to all who need her. Such an outstanding woman deserves more than this small tribute. That is why we. the Senior Class, offer to Sister Mary Samuel our gratitude, our admiration, and above all, our love.
