and When she was a wee little tot To the Villa Dolores was brought. She took part in each game, And she won acclaim. ' All teams her ability sought. PAULINE NOLAN, '45 Three cheers for the lassie named Woo, Who glided out in a canoe: But while she was sailing, Alas, she had to start bailing. Two leaks had sprung anew. PAULINE NOLAN, '45 There once was a girl with brown tresses, Who was always creating new dresses, , And how she did sing, . 4 Over her silver wings. A Did Geraldine, the girl with the dresses. RUTH SCHEPER, '45 Rosemarie's a sweet girl from Kentucky, All the young men say she is plucky. She laughs at their jokes, With straws sips their cokes, No one else is so all around lucky. PAULINE NOLAN, '45 A new Senior is Betty so tall, Who has all the wisdom of Saul. Her voice is so deep That everyone she meets Says, My, what a West Virginia drawlf' ROSE MARIE QUAING, '45 When our Jodie sits down to play, Our cares are whisked far away. She has an art! It goes right to our heart. We wish we could listen all day. MARY IRENE BERTKE, '45 Ruth took a wild ride on a horse. It galloped all over the course. She whipped and she called Till the old nag stalled, But her throat is still a bit hoarse. NANCY O'CONNELL, '45 Though Ginny is little and thin, Up the field she ran to win. She was determined, For the goal she was yearning. Then up,flew the puck and rolled in. ' PAULINE NOLAN, '45 We know a young girl named Ginny, She was neither too fat nor too skinny Till she had played hockey 1 On a field that was rocky: Then we saw the finis of Ginny. PAULINE NOLAN, '45 -9 OW A blue-grass child is M. J. She meets all thestandards, we say, So graceful and tall, She's the belle of the Ball. And never, oh never, does she sit on the wall. PAULINE NOLAN, '45 I know a young girl named Anne Byrne, Who thought Latin was so hard to learn. But she did not know It is also my woe: So from now on, together we squirm. ANNE DRESSMAN, '45 There is a girl, Marthe Sue, Who has beautiful eyes of blue: But. oh, how she drawls, Her voice, it just crawls. To speak takes an hour or two. ROSE MARIE QUAING, '45 There once was a Senior named Joan, To whom I am writing this poem. She really could play A violin the right way. Her talent is quite widely known. MARY IRENE BERTKE, '45 When Sudsy was asked in a test Why she could say French prayers the best, She said, with a bow, That right up to now She'd just murmur'd along with the rest. ANNE DRESSMAN, '45 There was a young girl named Jeanne Claire, Who had the most gorgeous black hair. She washed it with Drene To give it its sheen. No wonder that she was so fair. JEANNE REESE, '45 When Aida sits down to her dinner, All her thoughts are on trying to get thinner. She doesn't eat bread. 'Tis fattening, she has read, And potatoes won't make her a winner. PAULINE NOLAN, '45 We have a Senior, our Pat, Who worries about being too fat. She says she should diet. We say, Don't dare try it. We like you the weight you are AT. RosE MARIE QUAING, '45 Did you ever meet sweet Rose Marie, VV hose red hair all the girls love to see? It proved to be true That the boys loved it, too. How I wish those red locks were on me!
